This Privacy Policy explains how Hipopick ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our mobile application, website, product discovery features, account-related features, shopping flows, and related services.

Hipopick is part of the Hipobuy service ecosystem. Hipopick provides product discovery and shopping facilitation features, while the underlying account, order, checkout, payment support, procurement, warehousing, logistics, returns, refunds, and after-sales services may be provided by or through Hipobuy and its affiliated operating entities (collectively, the "Hipobuy Service Entities").

By using Hipopick, you acknowledge that your information may be processed within this service ecosystem as described below.

2. Who Controls and Processes Your Information

Depending on your region, payment currency, delivery destination, and service used, your information may be processed by Hipopick, Hipobuy, and relevant Hipobuy Service Entities. These entities may act as independent controllers, joint controllers, or service providers depending on the specific processing activity.

Where Hipopick transmits information to Hipobuy infrastructure to provide account, order, checkout, fulfillment, logistics, customer service, or after-sales functions, that processing is necessary to provide the shopping services you request.

3. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information.

Account and identity information

Name, nickname, username, email address, password or authentication credentials
Account identifiers, user ID, login status, session tokens, device tokens, and security information
Referral code, invite code, UTM or campaign source information
Account preferences such as language, currency, country, theme, and Hipobuy preference settings

Shopping and order information

Product views, product IDs, SKU selections, quantity, cart items, favorites, recently viewed items, search terms, and browsing interactions
Order numbers, pre-order numbers, cart item identifiers, coupon selections, discounts, remarks, notices accepted, payment status, order status, fulfillment status, and after-sales status
Price, currency, fees, shipping estimates, taxes, customs-related information, and value-added service selections

Address, delivery, and customs information

Recipient name, phone number, email address, shipping address, country or region, postal code, and address book information you provide
Goods information required for warehousing, waybill generation, customs declaration, transportation, delivery, and after-sales support
Where required by destination authorities or logistics providers, identity or customs-clearance information submitted for verification or declaration

Payment-related information

Payment amount, currency, payment time, payment channel, payment status, refund status, balance or reward deduction information, and transaction records
We do not intentionally store full card numbers or payment credentials when those details are entered directly into a third-party payment processor or Hipobuy payment page

Customer support and after-sales information

Messages, requests, complaint details, return or refund reasons, product issue descriptions, photos, package evidence, proof of delivery, proof of payment, and other materials you submit
Customer service records, order handling records, dispute records, refund records, claim records, and compensation records

Device, analytics, and technical information

Add products to cart, generate pre-orders, submit orders, apply coupons, calculate prices, initiate checkout, and process payment status
Support warehousing, fulfillment, customs declaration, international shipping, delivery, returns, refunds, claims, compensation, and after-sales service
Communicate with you about account security, orders, payment status, package status, customer support, after-sales issues, policy updates, promotions, and service notices

Hipobuy and the Hipobuy Service Entities, where needed for account, order, checkout, fulfillment, logistics, returns, refunds, after-sales, customer service, risk control, and operations
Payment processors, card processors, wallet providers, banking partners, fraud-prevention vendors, and payment service providers
Logistics carriers, warehouse providers, customs brokers, customs authorities, last-mile delivery providers, insurance providers, and claims handlers
Merchants, sellers, product platforms, or supplier channels where needed to procure products, verify issues, process returns, or handle after-sales requests
Cloud hosting providers, infrastructure providers, analytics providers, email providers, customer service tools, and security vendors
Advertising and attribution partners such as Google Analytics, TikTok, Meta, Microsoft Advertising, or similar providers, where enabled and permitted by law

Some third parties process information under their own privacy policies. For example, payment providers, advertising platforms, merchant platforms, logistics carriers, and customs authorities may independently determine how they process information in connection with their services.

6. Analytics, Advertising, and Attribution

We may use analytics and advertising technologies to understand how users interact with Hipopick, how users arrive from campaigns, and how shopping flows perform.

These technologies may measure page views, product views, search events, add-to-cart events, checkout initiation, payment status, purchase-related events, app performance, and campaign attribution. We may use internal identifiers such as scan_id to connect related sessions or cross-device flows, especially where users move from one device or service surface to another.

Where required by law, we will ask for consent before using non-essential analytics or advertising technologies. You may also control certain technologies through browser settings, device settings, cookie controls, or platform privacy settings.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies, local storage, SDKs, pixels, device identifiers, and similar technologies for login, security, preferences, cart and checkout continuity, analytics, advertising measurement, fraud prevention, and service improvement.

8. International Transfers

Because Hipopick and Hipobuy provide cross-border shopping and logistics services, your information may be processed in multiple regions, including the region where you are located, the region where the relevant Hipobuy Service Entity operates, the region where the merchant or supplier is located, the region where warehouses or logistics providers operate, and the region where cloud or analytics providers process data.

Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections, access controls, and security measures.

9. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, complete transactions, support orders, handle after-sales requests, comply with legal and accounting obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Retention periods vary by data type. After a verified deletion request is submitted, we delete or anonymize account and profile data within 30 days. Completed order, payment, refund, delivery, customs, and transaction-related address records are retained for 7 years from the end of the calendar year in which the relevant transaction is completed. We may retain limited records for longer where required by applicable law.

10. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Some information may be retained where necessary for orders, payment records, tax records, customs records, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, security, or legal compliance.

11. Children's Privacy

Hipopick is not intended for children under 13, or under the minimum age required in your region. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure. No system is completely secure, and you are responsible for keeping your account credentials and device secure.

13. External Services and Links

Hipopick may link to or embed services operated by Hipobuy, payment providers, merchants, logistics providers, advertising platforms, or other third parties. Their privacy practices may be governed by their own policies.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Hipopick after the updated policy is posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy where permitted by law.
