HIPOPICK/Cookie Policy

Cookie Policy

Last updated June 2026

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how Hipopick uses cookies, local storage, SDKs, pixels, device identifiers, and similar technologies.

Hipopick is part of the Hipobuy service ecosystem. We use these technologies to support product discovery, account features, cart and checkout continuity, security, preferences, analytics, advertising measurement, and shopping flows powered by Hipobuy infrastructure.

This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

2. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

Cookies are small files stored on your device when you use a website or web-based service. Mobile apps may use similar technologies, including local storage, SDK storage, device identifiers, pixels, and app event identifiers.

These technologies help us recognize your device, maintain sessions, remember preferences, secure the Service, measure usage, and connect related shopping flows.

3. Categories of Technologies We Use

Strictly necessary technologies

These are needed for core service functionality and cannot be disabled through our systems. They may be used to:

  • Keep you logged in or maintain secure sessions
  • Store authentication tokens or session state
  • Remember language, currency, theme, country, and region settings
  • Keep cart, checkout, and order flows working across screens or services
  • Support fraud prevention, abuse detection, payment risk checks, and security
  • Connect Hipopick and Hipobuy service flows where required to complete a transaction

Functional technologies

These help improve usability and remember choices, such as:

  • Recently viewed products, favorites, search history, and app preferences
  • Welcome modal status, consent choices, and dismissed notices
  • Shipping country, Hipobuy preference, and display settings
  • Customer support or after-sales workflow state

Analytics technologies

These help us understand how users interact with Hipopick and how the Service performs. We may measure:

  • Page views, screen views, clicks, session duration, and navigation paths
  • Product views, search events, add-to-cart events, checkout initiation, order-related events, and purchase-related events
  • Loading performance, crashes, errors, and feature usage
  • Product list exposure, recommendation performance, and campaign landing performance

Advertising and attribution technologies

These help us understand how users arrive from advertising campaigns and whether shopping flows are effective. They may include:

  • Advertising pixels or SDKs from platforms such as TikTok, Google, Meta, Microsoft, or similar partners
  • Campaign parameters such as ttclid, UTM parameters, click IDs, and referral identifiers
  • Internal identifiers such as scan_id that connect related sessions or cross-device flows
  • Aggregated reports about clicks, product engagement, checkout initiation, and purchase-related outcomes

4. Examples of Providers and Tools

Depending on the version of the Service, region, and consent choices, we may use:

  • Google Analytics or Firebase-related analytics
  • TikTok Pixel or TikTok measurement tools
  • Meta, Microsoft Advertising, or similar advertising and attribution tools
  • Infrastructure, security, anti-fraud, crash reporting, and performance monitoring tools
  • Hipobuy internal analytics, order, payment-status, and logistics systems

The exact tools may change as our service evolves.

5. How These Technologies Support Shopping Flows

Because Hipopick uses Hipobuy infrastructure for account, cart, checkout, payment status, fulfillment, logistics, and after-sales functions, cookies and similar technologies may be used to:

  • Maintain login and account state
  • Preserve cart and checkout information
  • Pass required session, token, language, currency, and order context to Hipobuy-supported pages
  • Measure add-to-cart, checkout initiation, payment status, and order-related events
  • Prevent duplicate requests, payment abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access
  • Support customer service, returns, refunds, and after-sales troubleshooting

6. Your Choices

You may control some cookies and similar technologies through:

  • Browser settings
  • Device privacy settings
  • App permission settings
  • Cookie banners or consent controls where available
  • Platform-level advertising controls, such as limiting ad tracking or resetting advertising identifiers

If you disable certain technologies, some features may not work properly. For example, login, cart, checkout, language preference, payment status, or cross-service Hipobuy flows may be affected.

7. Third-Party Technologies

Some technologies are provided by third parties, including analytics providers, advertising platforms, payment providers, fraud-prevention vendors, infrastructure providers, and customer support tools. These providers may process information under their own privacy policies.

We do not authorize third-party providers to use information collected through Hipopick for unrelated purposes except where permitted by law and their applicable terms.

8. Retention

Cookies and similar identifiers are retained for different periods depending on their purpose. Session technologies may expire when you close the app or browser. Preference and consent technologies may last longer. Analytics and attribution identifiers may be retained according to provider settings and our Data Retention Policy.

9. Updates to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technologies, providers, shopping flows, legal requirements, or our practices.

Updates will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
